"Photography has been my passion for as long
as I remember. Weddings, special events, breaking news, triumph and
tragedy, I have shot them all with an unerring instinct for capturing
that critical moment that told the story.
I began taking photographs in junior high school, continuing through college
where I began working for the Los Angeles Times. I was eventually hired fulltime
at the Times, a newspaper with a worldwide reputation for brilliant pictures
and top flight photographers. While at the Times, I honed my skills in every
aspect of photography, sharpening my ability to snatch those fleeting moments
that become lasting memories. Later on I founded Lumaya photography.
My expertise is wedding photography and portraits, but I also shoot commercial,
industrial and special events. From American presidents to chief executives
of the largest corporations to hundreds of weddings of very special couples,
my work has enabled me to preserve those unique moments that will last
a lifetime."

"Like most photographers, I came to this
business early and never left. I began taking serious pictures in
high school and went on to study photojournalism in college. I got
a taste of the technical side of photography while working as a commercial
printer in a professional lab.
In 1985 I was hired by the Los Angeles Times where I am still a photographer
today covering a wide range of stories throughout California and around the
world. My photojournalism background has trained me to think and act fast,
fast enough not to miss that fleeting look or smile you want to preserve
in you memories. Along with weddings, I also specialize in formal portraits."
No matter what the occasion, if you want to remember it as it was for years
to come, trust a proven professional who can make it happen.
